Yasushi Yamabe, b. 1958, lives in Kyoto Japan. Yamabe graduated in 1980 from the Graduate School of Kyoto City University of Arts. He attracted the attention as the representative artist of "Kansai New Wave", a movement similar to post-modernism that consists of new generation in the Japanese Kansai area. Recent solo exhibitions include Gallery Q, Tokyo, Japan, 2019, LADS Gallery Osaka Japan, 2020, Yasushi Yamabe - Metamorphosis of Painting, Nagi Museum of Contemporary Art, Okayama, Japan, 2008.
