Harriet Eagle studied Fine Art and History of Art in her native South Africa before moving to the UK, where she worked for many years as a graphic designer. Having returned seriously to painting and printmaking again, her approach is largely playful and intuitive, always starting with loose sketches of a scene or setting that has sparked an emotional connection, and is increasingly moving towards abstraction. She has attended numerous courses and workshops in London, St Ives - Cornawll and Oxfordshire, and has exhibited in various galleries and art fairs around the country over the years. Harriet works from her studio in Oxford. ''It is with much appreciation to have the opportunity to exhibit with local artists to help raise funds for the NHS charity during this difficult times, especially following the cancellation of the Oxford Art Society, Artweeks and various other exhibitions I was involved in. I am one of the 'at risk' cases having compromised immune system and have been careful to self-isolate at home. I am so pleased to be able to contribute in any way to help raise money and thanks those doctors, nurses and carers who are risking their lives, and Amanda and Lizzie for initiating Art form the Heart.''
