Sam Wadsworth is a contemporary painter living and working in Northamptonshire, where he keeps his studio at Kelmarsh Hall. He is represented by the Fine Art Commissions gallery in London and is also a member of the Penwith Art Society, St Ives. Wadsworth has a degree in Fine Art from Northampton University and later studied at the Prince's Drawing School, London.
Sam has been a regular exhibitor with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and in 2009; he was made a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Painter Stainers, London, and subsequently elected a member of their Fine Art Society. He sits on the committee of the Lynn Painter-Stainers national Art Prize and in 2016 was a member of the judging panel. In 2017, Sam co-curated the show with Andrew Wilton at The Mall Galleries.
Wadsworth’s practice embraces still life, portraits and landscape painting. Voted Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the FSB for his portrait painting, Sam has won a number of prizes and awards for his paintings, which include portraits of CEO's of multinational companies, prominent actors, leading international sports stars and Knights of the Realm.
