The Parrot spirit carries a message of celebration. It's a happy expression of all the good things that are happening in life and symbolises the everyday beauty that we all possess and of which we are surrounded.

This painting titled “Red Macaws” is a dense and richly coloured expressive painting. These vibrant Macaws within the Rainforest emanate from an energy of spontaneity and memory. The two birds are watchful and have a presence as they look out towards the viewer.

The rainforest’s undergrowth, the thick vegetation, the paint’s fluidity, the marks and lines are all part of a sensual experience. Paint as a raw material is an exotic substance used to create an unfolding narrative. Here is a reflection on a world that is imminently disappearing through deforestation and climate change.
