made in Santa Barbara with Richard Tullis in 1997. I worked with oil paint and a resin medium, directly onto aluminium plates that were then transferred to thick sheets of handmade pulp paper under the enormous pressure of a hydraulic press. The paper is beautiful, made in Japan by Richard Tullis: it’s really thick and physical, with deckled edges. The process is physical too and has a close relationship with painting.
