Rachel Gracey RE - Placing Time : An upcoming exhibition in Woodstock, Oxfordshire

Can you hear a lark in any other part of town?
Does enchantment pour out of every door?
No, it's just on the street where you live

‘On the street where you live’ by Dean Martin and Nelson Riddle

We are delighted to welcome Printfest's Printmaker of the year for her next exhibition, 'Placing Time' in which the artist explores the concept of time as a fluid, ever-changing force that shapes both our environment and our experiences. Through her vivid abstract works, Gracey captures the same physical space, but in different moments—each piece reflecting a unique passage of time.

Inspired by the personal experience of watching her children grow up in the same home, Gracey’s work is deeply rooted in the familiar spaces she inhabits daily. While these spaces remain constant, the artist observes them with new eyes, feeling both the comfort of familiarity and the inevitability of change. Her art becomes a dialogue with the space, capturing both the stillness of memory and the constant motion of life.

Through this exhibition, Gracey invites viewers to witness the movement of time as it unfolds, often within the very same space—a reminder of how life continuously shifts, even in the places that feel most safe.
