This pot takes the grand setting of Trafalgar Square in London as its starting point. Nelson's column can clearly be seen at the centre of the composition with milling figures all around in contemporary dress. Set very much in the present, this work is an ode to London and contemporary life. In it we see figures as they behave in public spaces - a theme that is of consistent interest to Clare. We also see here once more, the artist's friend and muse, Hossein who poses for a selfie as the sun sets on Trafalgar Square. The three-dimensionality of the pot creates a truly immersive experience of London in the fading light.
