Disorganised Labour, in honour of the self-employed, represents the sum total of my glittering political career. I went to a meeting where everyone talked about ‘Organised Labour.’ I tried to talk about the self-employed but would have done better discoursing on the periodic table, such were the looks of blank incomprehension before me. Walking home that warm June night, seeing the grocery shops, musicians, kebab and fish and chip shops all plying their trades, made me wonder who or what represents us. I still have no answer to that question but I did make the pot. Just in case.
