Quote from Gillian Lever
"For many years music has inspired me leading to commissions to respond to classical music (at the CBSO Centre, Birmingham), jazz (at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival), and reggae (artwork for an album cover by the band UB40). I am currently developing a collaborative project with cellist Kenneth Wilson that will be touring English Cathedrals in 2025.
I am an abstract painter who often experiments with the spiritually charged languages of colour and light. I have exhibited my work for many years with Art First in London, have undertaken public and private commissions and my work is represented in a number of collections including Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, and the Warwick Arts Trust. I trained in Fine Art at Reading University and at Hertfordshire University where I gained a postgraduate diploma in Art Therapy. "
